About Elk Creek Fire Protection District

The Elk Creek Fire Protection District is a combination fire department located 30 miles southwest of Denver, Colorado. We protect parts of western Jefferson County and eastern Park County, which includes Aspen Park, Conifer, Pine Junction and parts of Pine, Evergreen, and Bailey. With our district spanning approximately 98 square miles, we serve about 15,000 residents.

Our district will be under a Red Flag Warning and Stage 1 Fire Restrictions on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. XCel Energy has announced potential power outages for wildfire safety beginning at 10am. If you rely on medical equipment at home, please be prepared for extended outages.
