About Elk Creek Fire Protection District

The Elk Creek Fire Protection District is a combination fire department located 30 miles southwest of Denver, Colorado. We protect parts of western Jefferson County and eastern Park County, which includes Aspen Park, Conifer, Pine Junction and parts of Pine, Evergreen, and Bailey. With our district spanning approximately 98 square miles, we serve about 15,000 residents.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the monthly Board of Directors meeting held the fourth Thursday of each month at Elk Creek Fire Station 1, 11993 Blackfoot Rd, Conifer, and virtually via Zoom starting at 6:00PM.

Jefferson County Stage 1 Fire Restrictions August 20, 2024

From Jefferson County Sheriff's Office: Effective at 7am, JCSO rescinded the temporary Stage 2 Fire Ban and reinstated Stage 1 Fire Restrictions for all unincorporated Jeffco. While this is good news, there's plenty of fire season remaining & continued caution is important.
